Biography

Nicole Wilson is a PhD student in the Department of Political Science studying comparative politics and methodology. Her research interests include enforcement and compliance and the informal sector. She is interested in these dynamics in urban contexts in developing democracies, particularly in Africa.

Before coming to MIT, Nicole worked as a Research Associate for the Lagos Trader Project in Lagos, Nigeria. She graduated with a BA in Sociology and Criminal Justice from the University of Georgia and completed a master's degree in Justice, Law, and Criminology at American University.
