The LobbyView database allows researchers to effectively search, visualize, and download lobbying data in the U.S. between 1999 and 2020.

Congratulations to In Song Kim, Class of 1956 Career Development Associate Professor of Political Science, recipient of the International Political Economy Society’s Best New Dataset Award for his LobbyView database.

LobbyView is an extraordinary, continuously updated database of more than one million lobbying reports filed in the U.S. If you haven’t checked out the informational video yet, you should do so! (In Song’s cartoon likeness makes a cameo appearance.) The LobbyView.org project is supported by a team of department researchers, including Rémi Cura, Adam Rauh, Eliza Riley, and Lukas Wolters; Harry Li in MIT’s Lincoln Lab; and undergraduates Cole Hoffer, Hannah Liu, Jon Coden, Michael Hiebert, Andrew Shao, Emilio Amaya, and Maddy Li.

Congratulations to In Song and the entire LobbyView team!
