Lucas Nobrega Augusto
Biography
Lucas Nobrega Augusto is a PhD student in Political Economy at the MIT Political Science Department. He holds an MA in Public Policy with a Certificate in Research Methods from the Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago, and received an MSc in Economics from Insper Instituto de Ensino e Pesquisa and a BA degree in Economics from Universidade de Sao Paulo. His research interests include Political Economy, Electoral Accountability, and Research Methods. He is a Luksic Scholar for the 2024-25 academic year.
Before MIT, he worked as a macroeconomic researcher focusing on Brazilian economic activity and the labor market for the Banco Safra and Banco Santander Brasil.
