We are pleased to announce that Silverman (1968) Family Career Development Associate Professor Devin Caughey's book, The Unsolid South, has been awarded the Leon Epstein Outstanding Book Award by the Political Organizations and Parties Section of APSA.

Professor Caughey will receive the award at this year’s APSA annual meeting in Boston. The Leon Epstein Outstanding Book Award recognizes a book published in the last two calendar years that made an outstanding contribution to research and scholarship on political organizations and parties.

Professor Caughey's research interests focus on American politics, often from a historical angle. He also works on political methodology, and dabbles in comparative and international politics.
