Shoval Ben-Yair
Biography
Shoval Ben-Yair is a Political Science PhD student specializing in Security Studies and International Relations. Her research interests include deterrence, nuclear strategy, and their psychological dimensions, with a regional focus on East Asia. She is a recipient of MIT’s Presidential Fellowship.
She holds a B.A. in Government, Diplomacy and Strategy, completed in the Strategy and Decision-Making Honors Track, and an M.A. in the Government Thesis Track from Reichman University, both summa cum laude. Prior to starting her PhD at MIT, Shoval was a researcher at the Harkabi Institute for Intelligence Studies and held several research and teaching assistant roles in the fields of national security, strategy, and intelligence.
