Oskari Penttinen

Biography

Oskari Penttinen is a PhD student in Security Studies and International Relations. His research interests include military adaptation and strategy, emerging technologies, power projection, and authoritarian politics, with a current regional focus on the NATO-Russia context. Oskari is a recipient of MIT's Presidential Fellowship.

Oskari holds a B.A. in History and Politics from the University of Oxford, Corpus Christi College, where he received a Gibbs Prize for excellence in comparative politics. Prior to joining MIT, Oskari conducted research for the Finnish National Defence University, assisted with projects on democratic resilience at the University of Oxford, and interned as a corporate strategy consultant.
