
Frances Fitzgerald
Biography
Frances Fitzgerald is a PhD student in the Department of Political Science studying how state-led efforts to transform economic activity shape political behavior and institutional development. Frances is particularly interested in industrial policy, climate policy, and the intersection of the two. Prior to MIT, she worked in geopolitical risk consulting and on the legislative team for a Member of Congress. She holds a BA in Political Economy from UC Berkeley and a master's in public policy from Harvard Kennedy School, where she was a Belfer Young Leaders fellow.
