Biography
Andrea Howard is a PhD student in security studies and quantitative methods in MIT’s Department of Political Science, as well as an Active Duty Lieutenant Commander in the United States Navy’s submarine community. Her research interests include nuclear modernization and undersea deterrence.
Andrea holds a B.S. in Political Science and a B.S. in Arabic from the United States Naval Academy. As a Marshall Scholar, she read for an M.A. in Science and Security (with Distinction) from King’s College London and an M.Sc. in Global Governance and Diplomacy (with Distinction) from the University of Oxford.
