Artificial intelligence is quickly becoming a go-to stop for voters looking for information about political races. Researchers Adam Berinsky, Chara Podimata, and Charles Stewart III are studying the effects.
The researchers said it was too early to reach definitive conclusions about systemic chatbot bias or accuracy, stressing that the team was still developing ways to analyze the data with statistical rigor. It was clear, though, that voters should be wary of treating A.I. as a neutral information source, said Dr. Berinsky, one of the project leaders.
