Joe Loffredo is a PhD Candidate in the Department of Political Science at MIT, specializing in American Politics and Quantitative Methods. His research interests include legislative politics and public policy, with a focus on organized group influence in American political institutions. Substantively, his work examines the creation, implementation, and political consequences of election policy and administrative practices in the United States.
Joe graduated with a B.A. in Political Science and Statistics from the University of Rochester, where he received the James D. McGill Memorial Prize in Political Science. Prior to joining MIT, he worked at Civis Analytics. He is supported by the Jesse L. White, Jr. (1979) Fund.
