October 11, 2019 2:00PM E53-482, The Millikan Room

On Friday October 11, from 2pm to 4pm in the Millikan Room, we will have "Using the PML High-Performance Computing System (xvii)".  The session will be taught by Adam Rauch. RSVP link: https://forms.gle/pvZR6rSDbgemxVYZ9. Refreshments would be served as usual.

The workshop will demonstrate the computational capacity of MIT Political Science's own high-performance computing machine ("xvii"), and also provide you with hands-on quick strat guide on the machine.

The workshop would be very helpful if you are taking Quant 3, are planning to take Quant 4, are working on a dataset in need of a large memory, or are working on a monte-carlo simulation in need of a lot of cores. No prior knowledge is expected aside from working familarity with R.

Please RSVP by 3pm on Tursday October 10, so that we can order correct amount of food.

Do not hesitate to let me know if you have any questions, comments or concerns.
