Using GitHub for Version Control and Collaboration

GitHub is one of the most popular ways for programmers to manage and share code on the internet. But GitHub is more than just a tool for programmers. Researchers can use it to simultaneously work on a paper, manage assigned tasks and conflicts, and keep track of different versions of code/papers. Github offers a more flexible means to collaborate with others than other alternatives such as Dropbox.
