Biography

Rachel Tecott is a PhD candidate in international relations and security studies. Her dissertation examines United States efforts to build militaries in partner states, and her broader research interests include alliance and partnership dynamics, military operations, and decision-making processes in crisis and conflict. Before MIT, Rachel studied nuclear proliferation and worked in political risk consulting. She holds a B.A. (Honors) from Wesleyan University, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa.
