Lena Andrews is a PhD candidate in Political Science at MIT. Her broad research interests include military innovation, civil-military relations, and U.S. foreign policy. Her dissertation evaluates the effectiveness of joint operations in the U.S. military, focusing on the use of tactical air power since World War II. Before coming to MIT, Lena was a Senior Program Specialist at the U.S. Institute of Peace in Washington, DC. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Philosophy from Tufts University.
