Biography

John David Minnich is a PhD candidate in International Relations and Comparative Politics. His dissertation examines China's efforts to accelerate its economic rise through transfers of foreign technology. More broadly, he is interested in how technology, globalization, and political institutions shape international political economy and security, with an empirical focus on China. Prior to MIT, John worked as a Senior Analyst at Stratfor. He holds a BA summa cum laude in History and Asian Studies from Cornell University and an MA in International Relations, with honors, from the University of Chicago.
