Jasper Jansen

Biography

Jasper Jansen is a Ph.D. student at the MIT Department of Political Science. He is interested in political economy, welfare states, social and political inequality, and political violence, especially the intersection of violence, inequality and welfare policies.   Before joining MIT, he completed two BAs, one in Economics and Business Economics, and one in Philosophy, at Erasmus University Rotterdam. Jasper worked for multiple years as a research assistant at the Social Science Center Berlin (WZB) and Humboldt-University Berlin on projects related to antisemitism, migration policies, and hate crimes in Germany.
